📍Corfu, Greece 🇬🇷

Quick bonus post, for a quick bonus day in Greece!

Corfu is a 30 min to 1 hour ferry ride from Sarandë, so we thought, why not? We decided to spend a quick 6 hours in Greece and this post will be as short and sweet as our visit.

We arrived at the port very sweaty from the hot ferry with no plan, no euros, and no idea what to expect. (It’s fine. Everything is fine.) We quickly saw a Hop-On Hop-Off bus and, well, hopped on. We rode around to see a few different spots and get the lay of the land.

We “hopped off” and started exploring!

Old Town

While on the bus, we saw a stop where you could sit and watch the planes take off at the local airport. Once we explored Old Town for a bit, we made our way to that area and enjoyed the views.

Yes, we were those people.

To no one’s surprise, we did not have a ferry booked back and were worried we’d be stranded in Greece (wouldn’t be the worst thing that has happened to us, I suppose). We got to the ferry and it was PACKED. Apparently, there’s a massive festival in Albania that just about every 24 year old from the UK was attending. Most ferries back to Sarandë were booked, but we managed to snag some of the last seats on the last boat of the evening.

Just a few of our ferry friends happy and drunk as we all anxiously await our boat.

Even a short day trip has a few outtakes…

Short day, short post! Next up: the rest of our time in Albania.
